Manager for Enterprise Applications, Bavaria Germany

EA has just been instructed on a Significant Senior Leadership opportunity with our client, a Global Electronics Manufacturer for several key markets and is recognised for their excellence in their product lines.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP Manager to join the company in Germany. As an SAP Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation and maintenance of SAP systems, specifically focusing on SAP S/4 deployment methodology. The successful candidate will have a strong command of the English language and possess excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate with teams across different regions, particularly the United States and Asia.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, with a primary focus on SAP S/4 deployment methodology.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, ensuring that projects are executed within agreed-upon timelines and budget constraints.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to the team throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with best practices and adherence to project methodologies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all SAP-related matters, managing escalations, resolving issues, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings, providing updates to key stakeholders, and effectively managing expectations.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in SAP technologies, incorporating best practices and innovative solutions into project strategies.
  • Collaborate with global teams, specifically in the United States and Asia, to ensure alignment and consistency in SAP system implementations and maintenance processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of SAP professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies, maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of SAP systems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Degree or relevant business experience preferred
  • Years of Experience: 10
  • Fluency in English and German, both written and verbal, is essential.
  • Knowledge of SAP modules, either (FI/CO), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Sales and Distribution (SD), and Material Management (MM) would be advantageous
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse, global teams.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and work environments
